Lime Wood Primary receives award from Bexley

Lime Wood Primary Headteacher Miss Ingrams was thrilled to visit the Bexley Civic Society AGM last night in order to be presented with an award by The Mayor of Bexley Councillor Ahmet Dourmoush. The school has also been given a donation which will go towards further resources for their outside learning environments- thank you London Borough of Bexley! Hosting leaders from Denmark to share digital development insights.

One of our Trust schools, Peareswood Primary, recently had the privilege of hosting leaders from Denmark. The visit focused on sharing best practices and fostering collaboration around two key areas: Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and the effective integration of iPads in the classroom. The visit provided a valuable platform for knowledge sharing with our Trust leaders showcasing our UDL implementation strategies, demonstrating how we create inclusive learning environments that cater to diverse student needs. Our visitors had the opportunity to visit classes at Peareswood Primary to talk to pupils and see first hand the successful integration of iPads into our curriculum, highlighting the technology's role in enhancing learning experiences for our pupils.

Peareswood Primary holds tree planting event to help combat pollution.
3rd Jan 2024

A fantastic event attended by the Mayor of London Borough of Bexley was held by Peareswood Primary School to help combat pollution to our children. Pupils at Peareswood planted 40 trees during National Tree Week (25 November to 3 December) as part of the Bexley School Superzones scheme. Well done to all involved in helping the local community! Erith welcomes our new school Lime Wood Primary with grand opening celebration! We were thrilled to celebrate Lime Wood Primary's grand opening marking a significant stride in educational development and community growth. The momentous occasion which took place last week marked a significant milestone for all those involved in the development of the school and with its doors now open, the school is excited to show its commitment to providing high-quality education and fostering a nurturing environment for young minds to thrive. Lime Wood Primary officially opened in September 2023 welcoming a cohort of Reception children and will continue to grow year by year, eventually into a three-form entry school catering for children aged 4-11.

We are delighted to announce that we have been reaccredited as the Apple Regional Training Centre (RTC) for Kent and Bexley for another year! We are proud of the work that is taking place with our educational offer across the Trust. We have been working with Apple to develop the use of technology within our classrooms and we have been developing our continual professional learning with a focus on access to excellent resources. Being selected as an Apple Regional Training Centre highlights our commitment to facilitating training for teachers to develop skills and build confidence to use Apple technology in the classroom.

Lime Wood Primary's first open day!

The Woodland Academy Trust team were excited to host the first open day for our new school Lime Wood Primary which opens September 2023. We loved meeting the community and prospective parents. Community is at the heart for all of us at the Trust and meeting so many families in our new school made it all feel increasingly exciting.
