Knockhall Primary School Celebrates New Regeneration Project - ‘GROWING TOGETHER’

The community of Knockhall Primary School recently celebrated the opening of their newly developed regeneration project Growing Together areas; a project inspired by the school’s own pupils. The initiative, led by the children's creative ideas, has seen the transformation of an old garden and an overgrown pond into vibrant, educational spaces. The project began with the school’s pupils who submitted imaginative design ideas for improving the garden and pond area. Inspired by their artwork, the Woodland Academy Trust Trustee Sue Butterfill, Headteacher Miss Yiannadji, the school’s Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) led by Lauren Longfield and the Local Academy Committee led by Carol Gale, collaborated together to bring this project to fruition.

Meet our new Chief Finance and Operations Officer

New Chief Finance and Operations Officer We are delighted to welcome Yong Liu, as our new Trust CFOO. Yong brings a wealth of strategic leadership and financial acumen to our Trust, alongside a dedication to driving forward our mission of delivering the best possible outcomes for our children. Since relocating from China to the UK in 2008, Yong has been actively involved in the UK education sector, assuming leadership roles in functions such as Finance, HR, IT, Data, and Estates. In 2013, he was selected as one of 100 professionals in the UK to undergo specialised training as a School Business Director, as well as becoming CIPD qualified.

Knockhall Primary hosts visit from Dartford MP.

Knockhall Primary School were thrilled to host a special visit from Member of Parliament for Dartford, Gareth Johnson today. Gareth had the chance to explore the school alongside Headteacher, Kathryn Yiannadji, getting a first hand look at exciting projects happening at the school and discussing future endeavours. Sharing news of his visit on his website news page , Gareth Johnson said: As Dartford MP, I regularly visit all the schools in the area and this month it was great to go along to Knockhall Primary School in Greenhithe. Knockhall is a an excellent community school which takes pride in providing children in Greenhithe with a good education.

Lime Wood Primary receives award from Bexley

Lime Wood Primary Headteacher Miss Ingrams was thrilled to visit the Bexley Civic Society AGM last night in order to be presented with an award by The Mayor of Bexley Councillor Ahmet Dourmoush. The school has also been given a donation which will go towards further resources for their outside learning environments- thank you London Borough of Bexley! Hosting leaders from Denmark to share digital development insights.

One of our Trust schools, Peareswood Primary, recently had the privilege of hosting leaders from Denmark. The visit focused on sharing best practices and fostering collaboration around two key areas: Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and the effective integration of iPads in the classroom. The visit provided a valuable platform for knowledge sharing with our Trust leaders showcasing our UDL implementation strategies, demonstrating how we create inclusive learning environments that cater to diverse student needs. Our visitors had the opportunity to visit classes at Peareswood Primary to talk to pupils and see first hand the successful integration of iPads into our curriculum, highlighting the technology's role in enhancing learning experiences for our pupils.
