    PedTech in action: System leaders nationwide join forces to ensure the future of digital technology in schools is equitable, balanced, and high impact Founding Partners of the National PedTech Partnership at the launch event on 19 June. The National PedTech Partnership, an alliance of visionary education leaders, has unveiled an ambitious research and development programme focused on ensuring high impact and equitable teaching and learning, supported by contemporary digital tools. Representing approximately 3% of the national school system through 756 schools, 250,000 students and 22,000 staff, the National PedTech Partnership represents state and independent funded schools ranging from nursery through to sixth form, mainstream and special schools, and alternative provision.

    Peareswood Primary Wins Bexley Eco Legacy Award 2025! We’re delighted to share that Peareswood Primary has been awarded the Bexley Eco Legacy Award 2025, with our fellow Woodland Academy Trust school, Lime Wood Primary , named as a proud runner-up! The awards ceremony took place at The Clearing in Lesnes Abbey Woods at the end of May, where the former Mayor of Bexley, Cllr Sue Gower MBE, presented the winners with a trophy and certificate. The Bexley Eco Legacy Award recognises schools that demonstrate a strong commitment to environmental action and sustainability.

  • Prestigious Award for Our Director of Education

    Our Director of Education, Julie Carson has been recognised with a Silver Award for Transformational Use of Digital Technology in this year's Pearson National Teaching Awards. Chosen from thousands of nominees, she will now be in with the chance of winning the highly desired Gold Award, which will be announced at a prestigious awards ceremony in London and on BBC One’s The One Show later this year. Having been in education for 30 years, 20 of which have been in senior leadership roles, Julie has led a pioneering Trust-wide strategy combining Universal Design for Learning, AI, and inclusive technology to improve outcomes, reduce barriers, and transform teaching and learning across their five primary schools. Julie is one of 94 deserving teachers, lecturers, leaders, support staff and institutions recognised as a silver winner in this year’s awards for the lasting impact they have on shaping the lives of young people.

The Good Future Foundation's AI Quality Mark, awarded in Bronze, Silver, and Gold categories, requires schools to demonstrate purposeful engagement with key aspects of AI integration.     Woodland Academy Trust one of 23 MATs leading the way with pathfinding Artificial Intelligence report On 18 September 2024, a team of 23 Multi-Academy Trusts from across England published a pathfinding report setting out a 10 point guidance framework for those leading AI in schools, and a set of 29 practical recommendations for school system leaders. Woodland Academy Trust was part of a team of multi-academy trusts representing 413 schools, 250,000 students and 32,00 staff, with other MATs including Oasis Community Learning, Bourne Education Trust, LEO Academy Trust, United Learning, Woodland Academy Trust, David Ross Education Trust, E-ACT, Great Schools Trust, King Edward VI Foundation, L.E.A.D Academy Trust, Maritime Academy Trust, Prince Albert Community Trust, Rainbow Academy Trust, Robin Hood Multi Academy Trust, RGS Worcester Family of Schools, The Arthur Terry Academy Trust, Galileo Academy Trust and the Warwick Schools Foundation. Over the last academic year, the group worked together through a series of in-person workshops and virtual learning lunches, with contributions from Professor Rose Luckin, Baroness Martha Lane Fox, Professor Sugata Mitra, Professor Sanjay Sarma, Professor Miles Berry, Sir Anthony Seldon, Erika Twani, John Murphy, Dan Fitzpatrick, Dina Foster, David Weston, and Dr Fiona Aubrey-Smith. Provocations touched upon considerations ranging from contemporary thinking about what it means to be a teacher in the AI age, through to the organisational leadership of schools and trusts.
