Secretary of State for Education Visits Peareswood Primary

27th Jun 2025

A fantastic day welcoming the Rt Hon Bridget Phillipson MP, Secretary of State for Education, to Peareswood Primary School, along with colleagues from the Department for Education.

Also in attendance was local MP Daniel Francis, helping to make the day a powerful opportunity to spotlight the innovation, inclusion, and ambition at the heart of our digital strategy across Woodland Academy Trust.

Adding to the day’s excitement, we were thrilled to welcome Lee Parkinson — known to many as Mr P ICT — who recently received an MBE for his services to education. He spent time connecting with both pupils and staff, bringing his energy and insight to the visit.

We’re proud of the fantastic opportunities our pupils experience every day, and it was a joy to see them sharing these first-hand with the Secretary of State for Education. This visit was a proud moment for Woodland Academy Trust — a chance to reflect on the creativity, digital innovation and inclusive ethos that shape our work across all schools.
