Sue Ashton, Chief Operating Officer and Deputy CEO

Focus: Strategic Operations of the Trust ensuring that the Trust’s resources and processes are maintained to enable our schools and children’s the best possible outcomes.
Driving the vision for the Trust through maximising the funding we receive and spending effectively to ensure our children have access to the facilities and tools that will enable each of them to “Reveal the Champion Within”.
Sue has extensive local authority experience in education finance spread over 25 years, leaving Bexley as the Schools Funding Manager overseeing all schools within the borough to join the Trust in 2012.
Dawn Sydee, Executive Officer

Focus: Strategic management of projects and new development initiatives, nominated Data Protection Officer, representing the CEO in his absence to outside stakeholders; managing communications across the Trust.
With over 30 years Business Management experience Dawn joined the world of Education in 2003 before joining Northumberland Heath in 2008. She has played a key part in the journey of the Trust as it has grown to our current family of schools.
Teresa Blackman, Opportunities Director

Focus: Under the inclusion hub ensuring our children and families receive the best offer possible, working with families to ensure they access every opportunity available.
Teresa has been working within children and families services for over 20 years, and has worked within the Trust for many of those. Teresa’s knowledge and expertise lies in the field of early years, nurture and family support and she is very excited about the development of the inclusion and family hubs across the Trust.
Sarah Steven, Executive Associate

Focus: The strategic lead for the delivery of a successful governance model, advisor to the board, delivering an effective communications and marketing model across the Trust.
Sarah has a background in compliance within central banking, insolvency and local authorities. She is a qualified Clerk and provides professional advice and guidance to all of the governance groups across the Trust. Her role ensures both the efficient and compliant operation of the governance of the Trust along with maintaining a constant focus on its core functions.
Sarah oversees governance as part of a team and leads on the branding and marketing of the Trust as well as communications and publicity.
Karys Eagle, HR Associate

Focus: Delivering a successful Human Resources function across the Trust ensuring staff are treated fairly and the Trust is an employer of choice.
Karys joined the Trust in 2015 and is so passionate about Human Resources, especially in education as it is vital that the adults are looked after as much as the children. Our colleagues make such a difference to our communities, but we must remember, our colleagues deserve the best opportunities too. That is why a key focus of Karys is to ensure colleagues receive the same commitment back from the Trust as they give to it, that they have every opportunity to be treated fairly, with respect and with the care they deserve.
Chloe White, Trust Business Associate
Leading on financial management, budgets, compliance, procurement and best value.
Focus: Delivering on financial management and procurement, budgets, internal audit, compliance with the Financial Academies Handbook, supporting the SBM group across the Trust.
Chloe joined our Trust in 2013 as the Finance Manager at Northumberland Heath Primary, progressing to SBM on completion of the Level 4 Certificate in School Business Management. Chloe has extensive experience of school office operations and financial management and is a welcome addition to the Trust Services team.
Paul Anderson, IT Associate
Leading on IT strategic development and IT support for the Trust.
Focus: Overseeing the strategic delivery of IT across the Trust, ensuring systems remain fit for purpose, effective and up to date.
Paul has been with us since June 2007 and with the Trust team since February 2012. He has developed his skills and knowledge of technology in the school environment and through numerous external CPD opportunities; Paul is currently undertaking MTA Server Administration Fundamentals course. He is currently undertaking the a review of the core IT infrastructure with a view to moving to the cloud, making the data available anytime, anywhere from any internet connected device.
