Peareswood Primary School is seeking to appoint an experience Sports Coach to join the Peareswood Team and join the mission to remove barriers for all and ensure that children access a broad and varied curriculum, where everyone has the opportunity to exceed expectations.
At Peareswood we promote independence and challenge through a bespoke curriculum localised firstly within the community we serve and draws on the rich cultural heritage that is on our doorstep. Our specialism, Learning Outside of the Classroom, provides all children with lifelong skills and experiences providing opportunities for children to achieve qualifications beyond the traditional curriculum.
As our sports coach, you will play a part in developing and delivering the school’s physical education and school sports curriculum and activities to ensure that the children receive high quality lessons and the opportunity to take part in the school’s sports offer.
You will have experience in delivering a range of sports and coaching with primary aged children and the associated tasks such as setting up, planning and administration and working in partnership with the sports lead.

The start date will be as soon as possible according to the successful candidate’s current position and the appropriate checks being made. The post will initially be based at Peareswood Primary School (34 hours per week, 39 weeks per year with half an hour for lunch and will initially be a one year fixed term contract until 30th July 2020).
The successful candidate must be qualified within the relevant L3 Sports diploma or higher.
Interviews will take place throughout the week commencing 22nd April 2019.
